Brentyn D. Baccega

Biography

Brentyn is an associate at the firm’s Chicago office, where he focuses his practice on Sports, Entertainment, and Media law, as well as Commercial Litigation and Business Disputes, Employment Litigation and Counseling, and Intellectual Property and Transactional Services.

Since joining the firm, Brentyn has provided both litigation and transactional services to sports and entertainment-related businesses and creative individuals, including drafting corporate operating agreements, talent agreements, screenplay agreements, sponsorship agreements, and NIL agreements. Brentyn has litigated claims involving defamation and trademark infringement on behalf of a variety of clients, including professional athletes, social media influencers, and musical artists.

Additionally, Brentyn has experience litigating premises liability matters, including representing several major concert and professional sports venues in and around the Chicagoland area. He has experience in trial and mediation preparation, including managing all stages of written discovery, drafting pleadings, arguing motions, taking depositions, and assisting in trial.

Prior to joining the firm, Brentyn earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Marketing & Management from Indiana University Bloomington and was a Direct Admit to Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law where he was the Vice President of the Sport and Entertainment Law Society, a member of the Sherman Minton Moot Court Advocacy Board, and Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality.
