Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Attends the 66th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP attended the 66th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony on February 4. The firm's Entertainment and Media Law practice group members Jeffrey S. Becker, Michelle W. Firm client, poet, songwriter, and author, J. Ivy kicked off the day and opened the Grammy Premiere Ceremony alongside fellow nominees Pentatonix, Larkin Poe, Jordin Sparks, and iconic drummer, Sheila E. He took home his 3rd Grammy—and 2nd in the Best Spoken Word Poetry Album category—for his latest album, The Light Inside.

Following the performance, representatives of the GRAMMY U program, including the Chicago Chapter’s Rachel Owen, were introduced on stage and served as trophy presenters for the ceremony. Partners Becker and Wahl serve as mentors to the Grammy U program, which connects college students with the industry's most notable leaders and provides aspiring professionals with the tools and opportunities necessary to start a career in the music industry.
