Wahl and McLoughlin to Speak at Chicago West Community Music Center

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP attorneys Michelle M. Wahl and Mark J. McLoughlin will speak at the Chicago West Community Music Center on March 9 at their Garfield Park location in Chicago.

The panel is part of the Lawyers For the Creative Arts Community Service/Outreach program, aimed at high school students, instructors, and parents of younger students to learn the basic elements of music law. This will be a fun and interactive session that will help young people and non-lawyers engage in arts-related activities that are important to them.

Michelle M. Wahl is a Partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP and focuses her practice on intellectual property and entertainment matters, where she diligently represents a wide range of songwriters, artists, producers, and other creative individuals and entertainment-related businesses. With a Masters of Law in Intellectual Property, Michelle is Co-Chair of the firm's Entertainment and Media Practice Group and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation and Transactional Services Practice Group. Mark J. McLoughlin is an Associate at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, specializing in Entertainment and Media Law. Mark is licensed as an attorney in both California and Illinois. Lawyers for the Creative Arts (LCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance to artists and arts communities that are financially unable to retain legal counsel. LCA conducts workshops on not-for-profit incorporation and tax exemption, seminars on the law of music, publishing, film, copyright, and mentors young attorneys.
