Biography

Steven has practiced in the field of civil litigation since 1977and has represented numerous individuals and corporations in lawsuits in state and federal courts in Illinois, in matters involving medical and legal negligence, commercial litigation and business disputes, as well as insurance coverage, product liability and other general liability matters. He retired as a partner in 2017.

One particular area of focus includes the defense of medical negligence matters on behalf of physicians and hospitals in northern Illinois, including Lake County, McHenry County, Winnebago County and Cook County, Illinois. Steven has obtained numerous defense verdicts at trial for in cases involving a wide variety of medical specialties, including cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, family practice, internal medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, psychiatry, anesthesiology, general surgery, colorectal surgery, otolaryngology, pediatrics and emergency medicine.
